This decision was made today at a joint meeting of the Presidium of the Minsk Regional Council of Deputies and the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the Minsk Regional Executive Committee reported to “MP”.

The Minsk Regional Commission for the Election of the President of the Republic of Belarus includes 13 people, of whom two representatives were nominated by citizens by submitting an application, 11 – by political parties and public associations.

Thus, one representative was nominated each by the Belarusian Party “Belaya Rus”, the Communist Party of Belarus, the Liberal Democratic Party, and the Republican Party of Labor and Justice. The commission also includes representatives of the following public associations: the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan, the ROO “Belaya Rus”, the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, the Belarusian Union of Journalists, and industry trade unions that are part of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.

In total, 22 more district and one Zhodino city commission will be formed in the central region.

The work of the election commission will be organized:

• on weekdays — from 10:00 to 19:00 (break from 14:00 to 15:00),
• on Saturday – from 10:00 to 14:00,
• on the eve of election day – from 10:00 to 19:00 (break from 14:00 to 15:00).

The presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for January 26, 2025.
